This Privacy Policy governs the collection of information about Users and SydeWyrkers by SydeWyrk through its website and mobile app, and the use of such information by SydeWyrk. With respect to information submitted or collected on the SydeWyrk Platform, Users and SydeWyrkers accept the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not pertain to, and SydeWyrk is not responsible for the privacy practices of, any third party web sites to which the SydeWyrk Site hyperlinks. Any capitalized terms used and not defined in this Policy shall have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Use for either Users or SydeWyrkers.

Be advised that the use of the SydeWyrk Site constitutes your acceptance of this Policy. If you disagree with our practice in handling your information, you must not visit or use the SydeWyrk Site. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to visit or register on the Platform or send any personal information about yourself to SydeWyrk. If SydeWyrk learns that it has obtained any personal information from an individual under the age of 13, SydeWyrk will immediately delete the information from our system.

Collection of Personally Identifiable Information

Certain areas of the SydeWyrk Site may require or allow the voluntary submission of Personal Information. As used in this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means information that would allow someone to identify or contact you, such as your name, physical or electronic mail address, telephone number, social security number or any other identifier that permits the physical or online contacting of a specific individual; provided, however, that Personal Information does not include aggregated information that, by itself, does not permit the identification of individual persons.

Use and Sharing of Personally Identifiable Information

SydeWyrk uses Personal Information for the purposes of identifying Users and SydeWyrkers willing to use and perform the Services set forth on its Site. In addition, SydeWyrk may share Personal Information with third parties, performing services for or on behalf of SydeWyrk. Such services may include payment processors and background check providers. Additionally, SydeWyrk may be legally obligated to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances and you hereby authorize SydeWyrk to make such disclosures as permitted by applicable law.

Review and Removal of Personally Identifiable Information

A User or SydeWyker has the ability to automatically review and change the Personal Information they have submitted to the SydeWyrk Platform by logging into the Site. SydeWyrk will use reasonable efforts to remove Personal Information from its Site at any time upon written request to SydeWyrk. Such removal of Personal Information will not ensure the permanent removal of such Personal Information from the Site. For example, such Personal Information may remain in the SydeWyrk archival or backup copies of the Site.

Information Collected and Options

SydeWyrk receives and stores any information a User or SydeWyrker knowingly provides to SydeWyrk. SydeWyrk may collect a User or SydeWyrker’s legal name, email address, password, phone number, property address, and other details for a personal biography section. If a SydeWyrker, SydeWyrk or it’s third party partners may ask for date of birth, Social Security Number, and bank information for payments or background checks. SydeWyrk may, from time to time, sends Users and SydeWyrkers emails regarding changes, deletions and additions to Services. Only SydeWyrk (or agents working on behalf of SydeWyrk and under confidentiality agreements) will send e-mails concerning changes. Users and SydeWyrkers also have choices with respect to cookies, as described below. By modifying your browser preferences, you may have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If a User or SydeWyrker chooses to reject all cookies some parts of the Site may not work properly and the ability to fully utilize the Site may be affected.

Information Collected Automatically

When a User or SydeWyrker accesses and uses the SydeWyrk Platform, SydeWyrk automatically obtains information from your computer or mobile device. This information could include, but is not limited to, your device’s IP address, browser type, browsing behavior such as how you landed on the Platform and where you exited the Platform, geolocation information, and device type. Cookies may be automatically loaded on your device by SydeWyrk, or our third party partners, to enhance the Platform and its convenience to the User or SydeWyrker. These will track your activity within our Platform and provide customized material as you return back to the Platform. If you choose to decline the use of cookies on the Platform, you may not be able to use certain features.

Additional Information Collected

SydeWyrk uses Google Maps Services for location and address services through their Maps API. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy your are explicitly agreeing to Google’s Privacy Policy.

SydeWyrk uses a third party payment processor who will handle all payment information. SydeWyrk does not hold any payment information on our servers. SydeWyrk will collect information which may include, but not limited to, type of service/chore, date and time of service, transaction amount, ratings and reviews, any communication between User and SydeWyrker within the Platform. This Platform communication is through a third party chat service, Stream. We do not allow the other party to see your personal phone number, but we do monitor and store all communications used through this.

As a SydeWyrker, we will keep your profile picture on record and allow Users to see this picture through your profile. This is used to enhance security and the friendliness of the Platform. We will also allow all Users and SydeWyrkers to see any job related photos that you post for a job review or job description. We will only use these photos for our Platform and social media accounts. If you post a picture on the platform, you consent that it may be used for social media advertising.

If a SydeWyrker chooses to become background check verified, we will share their Registration Data with our third party partner in order to process the background check. This information is transferred using industry standard SSL encryption. It is recommended that SydeWyrkers review their privacy policy at .

If a User or SydeWyrker chooses to log in to our Platform using social media or google, we may share with them your Registration Data. You can review their privacy policy and control how they use that information via their user settings. If you decide to share any information with social sites through our Platform, you authorize us to share the necessary Registration Data.

Security of Information

Registration Data will be secure in accordance with current industry standards. The importance of security for all Registration Data associated with Users and SydeWyrkers is of utmost concern to SydeWyrk. Registration Data is protected in several ways. Access to Registration Data is available through a password and email address provided by the User or SydeWyrker. This password is encrypted. SydeWyrk recommends that Users and SydeWyrkers not divulge their password to anyone. In addition, Registration Data resides on a secure server in encrypted form that only selected SydeWyrk personnel have access to via password. All sensitive information you send to us, including credit card and banking information, is encrypted before transmission through SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. This information will be encrypted before it is sent to us through the Internet, and then again when we send information back to you.

While we take the necessary precautions to protect your information, we advise you to review our third party partner’s privacy policies as well to be aware of how they handle your information. As SydeWyrk takes significant precautions to protect all of your information, it is impossible to insure that all Internet transmissions or electronic storage is 100% secure.

If it becomes necessary to share your personal information with our third party partners their use of the information will be in accordance with their contract with SydeWyrk. Please review their privacy policy, which will control their use of the information we provide them. As a User or SydeWyrker, you agree to hold SydeWyrk harmless for their violations of their privacy policy.

Information Provided to SydeWyrkers and Users

Only relevant information needed for the SydeWyrker to provide the Service will be shared with the SydeWyrker (including, but not limited to, Users name, reviews and rating, profile, the property address, the visual representation of the property (photos), and description of job from User).

As a User searches for available SydeWyrkers, they may have access to certain personal information about each SydeWyrker. This information may include, but not limiting to, Name, Short Bio, Ratings, pictures of previous Services performed and Profile Picture.

Security Guarantee

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while SydeWyrk strives to protect a User’s or SydeWyrker Registration Data, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond SydeWyrk’s control; (b) the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between a User and SydeWyrk through the Platform cannot be guaranteed; and (c) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party.

SydeWyrk endeavors to protect the privacy of User’s and SydeWyrker’s Registration Data but unfortunately, SydeWyrk cannot guarantee complete security. Unapproved entry or use, hardware or software failure, breach of networks, and other factors, may cause exposure of information at any time. As a result, SydeWyrk cannot guarantee the security of any information a User or SydeWyrk transmits to SydeWyrk, and Users and SydeWykers do so at their own risk. SYDEWYRK EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY, WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO GUARANTEEING, OF SECURITY IN CONNECTION WITH A USERS AND SYDEWYKERS PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Personal Information accessible

Users and SydeWyrkers may access and edit their Registration Data through their account settings. These editable fields may include but not limited to; Password, Email, Address, Phone Number, and Payment information.

Merger or Asset Transfer

In the case of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or transfer of any kind, your information may be subject to sale or transfer as an asset of the company as permitted by law or contract. We provide no control of this information once it is transferred to new owner.

Choices

Users and SydeWyrkers may always choose not to disclose information to SydeWyrk, but some information is needed for registration in order to use the Platform. Users and SydeWyrkers may be able to add, update, or delete information as explained above. When deleting or editing information, SydeWyrk may keep a copy of the original information in its archives. A User or SydeWyrker may request deletion of their account by contacting SydeWyrk at support@sydewyrk.com. Some information from your deleted account may remain in SydeWyrk’s archives./support@sydewyrk.com

This Privacy Policy is effective as of January 1st, 2023. SydeWyrk continues to revise and review our practices and standards, and as our Service and Platform evolves, so may our policies and terms. At any time, SydeWyrk may modify this Privacy Policy and such modifications will be automatically effective after posted on the Site. As a User or SydeWyrker, continued use of the Platform after any changes to this document, implies that you agree to and accept the changes.
